Building Legal Foundations
to Empower
Venture Ecosystems

Our Mission

Korea’s venture capital ecosystem has long remained an isolated “Galápagos Island”

Although the scale and scope of venture investment have expanded rapidly both domestically and globally, institutional research to ensure legal stability and market connectivity has been lacking. The Venture Investment Act has remained fragmented from key frameworks such as the Commercial Act and the Capital Markets Act. As a result, Korea’s venture investment market has been isolated from the global capital market much like a Galápagos island and the burden of legal uncertainty has been placed on market participants.

We aim to promote a more active venture investment environment by strengthening legal stability and global connectivity.

Our goal is to introduce practical strategies that bring advanced global investment practices into Korea.

What We Do

In Venture Investment
Law Society

01

Global Standards Research

We study global venture investment standards and explore how they can be effectively applied within the Korean context, strengthening Korea’s connection to global capital markets.

02

Practical Guideline Development

By holistically considering LPs, GPs, and portfolio companies, we develop rational, field-oriented standards to minimize confusion and promote clarity in real-world application.

03

Policy Proposals

We aim to bridge the gap between the government and the venture ecosystem, driving essential changes through informed and practical policy recommendations.
